Learning Through Nature
Children explore the outdoors, investigate natural materials, and watch the seasons change, building curiosity, vocabulary, and early science skills through hands-on discovery. These nature-based learning experiences encourage creativity, problem-solving, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

Through outdoor exploration and nature-inspired activities, children also discover the beauty of God’s creation while developing important early learning skills.

What ages does Little Fliers serve?
Little Fliers cares for children from infancy through Pre-K, with infant, toddler, preschool, and Pre-K programs. Part-time care is available for children ages 2.5 and up, and our summer camp is open to children from kindergarten through age 12.
Where is Little Fliers located, and what are your hours?
We’re at 8298 Burlingame Ave SW, Byron Center, MI 49315, open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
What is nature-based learning at Little Fliers?
Children spend time outdoors exploring natural materials, gardens, insects, and the changing seasons. These hands-on experiences build observation skills, early science thinking, vocabulary, and physical skills, and help children appreciate God’s creation.
How is faith part of the day?
Christian values are woven into daily life through Bible stories, prayer, kindness, gratitude, and caring for others. Infants hear daily prayers and spiritual songs, and older children learn Bible stories and values-based lessons. Families of every background are welcome.
Do you serve meals?
Yes. Meals are cooked fresh in our own kitchen. You can see our monthly menu on our menu page.
How will I stay updated on my child’s day?
You’ll receive daily photos and updates through our family communication app, including your child’s activities, new skills, and fun moments with friends. Teachers also meet with families at parent-teacher conferences in the fall and spring.
How do you keep children safe?
Only pre-approved adults with photo identification can pick up a child, and families enter a code on a keypad to reach the classroom area. All teachers complete safety training. Learn more on our Safety & Security page.
How do I schedule a tour?
You can schedule a tour online or call (616) 403-7904. Bring a partner or family member if you can. Seeing the classrooms and outdoor spaces together makes the decision easier.
